Hilary Molloy is an established wildlife and landscape artist. A native of Limerick, she now lives in north Clare where the Burren has always been a huge source of inspiration.

Her works capture perfectly the immediacy and diversity of the ever-changing light and shade of the Irish landscape. She successfully captures birds and animals in their natural environment, with interpretations being true to form and movement. The vitality of woodcock, wildlife and farm animals are recurring themes, while the Flaggy shore and the unique rural landscape that surrounds it provides an endless source of material for her work.

Alternating between oil and watercolour enables her to exploit the media to produce the hues and tones of the landscape, and to capture the rhythms of the ever changing seasons. Hilary tries to convey the beauty in the ordinary.

Self taught, Hilary’s work is regularly exhibited in many galleries around the country. She has had several solo exhibitions in Limerick, Cork and Galway, and her work can be regularly viewed in the Russell Gallery.
