Mary Harrison
Mary , originally from Co. Sligo lives in rural Ballindereen, Co Galway
has been a member of The Artist League, studying oil painting with David Leffel. She has also taken courses in Burren College of Art, with Conor McGrady, Hazel Walker, Rita Wobbe and Timothy Emlyn Jones. She has been a plein air painter for many years, and has studied with Dave West, John Dinan and Conrad Frankel. She is also greatly influenced and supported by her husband, Joe McCaul, himself a painter, potter and sculptor
Mary has begun working more abstractly with Acrylics and multi-media on paper more recently. Her influences have been Louise Fletcher a UK abstract painter who founded Art Tribe, of which Mary is a member. She has also taken courses online with Lewis Noble on Abstracting the Landscape.
She has previously exhibited in group shows in Kinvara and Galway and Sligo. Spectrum Art gallery, Wexford, as part of Plein Air Festivals.
