Olivia Henchy is a mixed media artist from Co. Clare.

Her work is at the intersection between landscape and abstraction and she takes inspiration from the the coastal landscape around where she lives.  

Having graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design with BA hons degree in graphic design and h.dip in teacher education, her early career and her training in composition, colour and proportion is evident in her work today as a fine art painter.

The process of layering and scraping back shapes and mark’s embedded within a history of layers, mirrors nature’s process of erosion over millions of years. With an emphasis on texture, shape and colour her work is an exploration of both the resilience and the fragility of our landscapes today.
