Steve Browning studied at the Leicester School of Art and Design. After graduation he worked in London as an art director. During this time he learned how to present his ideas, putting them down on paper using simple composition and colour.

The skills he acquired as an advertising art director helped him to develop a distinctive style in painting. Steve tends to work with smaller canvases which allow him to paint on location to produce work that captures both the energy and spontaneity of a location.

In 2002 Steve was able to pursue his passion of painting full time. He has exhibited in London, the Royal Hibernian Academy and his work can be found in collections in the UK, USA and Ireland.
